Carroll University’s physics minor involves a robust introduction to physics. After two semesters of the foundational university-level physics sequence with laboratory experience, you can achieve the minor by selecting two additional upper-level physics courses with the supporting courses in mathematics. Upper-level physics courses include modern (20th century) physics, electricity and magnetism, classical mechanics and thermodynamics. Depending on your passion, the minor can increase your potential employment prospects in many fields, such as mathematics, chemistry, biology, medicine or physical therapy. The minor also meets the requirements of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction for teaching certification at the secondary level.
